Push.Bike, our e-commerce platform for bike shops, has its own privacy policy.
What we collect and why
We only collect what you give us and what's needed to run and improve this site.
Enquiries
- What
- Your name, work email, company, website, the service you're interested in and your message.
- Why
- To reply to you and talk about working together.
- Lawful basis
- Legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, or steps you've asked us to take before entering a contract.
- How long we keep it
- Up to 2 years after we were last in touch, unless you become a client, when it's kept for as long as we work together and for 6 years afterwards for legal and accounting reasons.
Job applications
- What
- Your name, email, phone number and LinkedIn profile if given, your CV and your covering note.
- Why
- To consider your application and contact you about it.
- Lawful basis
- Steps you've asked us to take before entering an employment contract, and legitimate interests in recruiting.
- How long we keep it
- 6 months after the role is filled, then deleted, unless you're hired or agree to us keeping it for future roles.
Analytics
- What
- Pages you visit, how you arrived, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and actions such as button clicks and sending a form. We never record what you type into forms.
- Why
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- Lawful basis
- Consent on our UK site. On our US site, see 'If you're in the US' below.
- How long we keep it
- 14 months in Google Analytics, then deleted automatically.
Server and security logs
- What
- IP address, browser, the pages requested and when.
- Why
- To keep the site running, secure and free from abuse.
- Lawful basis
- Legitimate interests in operating a secure website.
- How long we keep it
- A short period set by our hosting provider, typically no more than 30 days.
We also use a small number of cookies. Our cookie policy lists them.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run this site for us, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions:
- Vercel Inc. hosts the website and processes server logs.
- Resend delivers the emails sent from our enquiry and job application forms.
- Google LLC provides Google Analytics, when you allow it. Google signals and advertising features are switched off.
- Our email provider stores the enquiries and applications we receive.
We may also share data with professional advisers, or where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on adequacy regulations, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct data that's wrong or incomplete
- delete your data, or restrict how we use it
- stop using your data where we rely on legitimate interests
- send your data to you or another organisation in a reusable format
Where we rely on consent, such as for analytics, you can withdraw it at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Email info@objective1.co.uk to use any of these rights. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
If you're in the US
On objective1.com, Google Analytics runs unless you opt out. You can opt out with the cookie banner or the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out.
In the last 12 months we've collected the categories of personal information described above: identifiers and contact details, professional information, and internet activity on this site. We collect it from you and from your browser, for the purposes set out above. We don't sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use sensitive personal information.
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of sales, sharing and targeted advertising. Email info@objective1.co.uk to make a request. We'll need to confirm who you are, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights.
Security
The site is served only over encrypted connections, and access to enquiries and applications is limited to the people who need it.
Children
This site is for businesses and job applicants. It isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if how we use personal data changes, and change the date at the top.
